NEW DATE!!-Auto Classico - Maling Road Canterbury
Maling Road AutoClassico Returns in 2025 with Style, Speed and Champagne
The Maling Road AutoClassico is set to return on Sunday 23 November 2025, transforming Canterbury’s historic shopping village into a European-style motoring celebration – and this year’s edition promises more than just eye candy for car lovers. LCV will have cars on display as well as Lotus Melbourne.
This year’s event introduces two exciting new precincts designed to elevate the experience for visitors and create vibrant destinations within the event.
The first is the French Quarter – a creative celebration of French automotive design, food and flair. Curated in partnership with leading French car clubs, the precinct will feature beautifully presented Renault, Citroën, Alpine, Peugeot, and Delage vehicles, alongside a selection of other iconic European marques. It’s not just about the cars – visitors can indulge in crepes, fine cheese and wine tastings, enjoy the charm of a French mime artist, tap along to live French music, and capture the moment at a themed photo booth. With its mix of culture, cuisine and chrome, the French Quarter brings a playful Parisian twist to the event.
Equally exciting for 2025 is the debut of the Ladies Lounge, a sophisticated area supported by Motorsport Australia. This stylish new space celebrates the growing presence of women in motorsport while offering a relaxed environment to gather and unwind. Guests can enjoy champagne, curated treats, pamper packs and elegant lounge vibes – all wrapped in a setting that’s as refined as it is welcoming.
Fashion lovers can look forward to the return of the Vintage Fashion Parade, supported by Fiat, showcasing era-inspired ensembles that nod to the glamour of motoring’s golden age.
Motorsport Australia will also deliver headline activations, including a showstopping display of Daniel Ricciardo’s F1 car, which will form part of a curated collection of historic racing vehicles in Theatre Place. This special feature will include seven race-proven cars spanning multiple decades, such as the 1951 Cooper MkV that competed in the 1952 Melbourne Grand Prix. Together, they offer a rare glimpse into the evolution of motorsport – from early post-war engineering to modern F1 design.
Theatre Place will also host two state-of-the-art racing simulators, generously supplied by Motorsport Australia, giving visitors the chance to test their skills on the virtual track and experience the fast-growing world of competitive Esports.
